THE LONG ROAD

Privacy policy ยท Last updated 3 November 2026

The Long Road is a single-player game for Android made by David Val. This policy explains what information the game handles. In short: your progress stays on your phone, and the game sends only anonymous usage stats, which you can turn off.

Your progress

Your heroes, items, gold and unlocked levels are saved in a file on your device. It is never uploaded anywhere. Uninstalling the game deletes it. There are no accounts, no sign-in and no chat.

Information the game collects

The game does not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos or any other personal information.

Anonymous usage stats

To see where new players get stuck, the game sends short, anonymous notes about play to Google Analytics: which tutorial steps and levels were started, finished, failed or left, the hero class and level, how long a level took, and the game's version. These are tied to a random number the game makes when it's first opened, not to you, your Google account or your device's advertising ID. Google receives your IP address when the notes are sent, as with any internet request, and Google Analytics does not log or store it. The notes are kept for 2 months and used only to improve the game. You can turn them off at any time with the "Usage stats" button on the game's main screen. Google's use of this data is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising

The game may offer optional rewarded ads. You choose whether to watch one in return for an in-game reward, and the game never shows an ad you didn't ask for. These ads are provided by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, Google may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address (and the approximate location it suggests), how you interact with ads, general device details, and crash and diagnostic information about the ads, to show and measure ads, for analytics, and to prevent fraud. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and the UK), the game asks for your consent first using Google's consent form, and you can change your choice at any time with the "Ad privacy" button on the game's main screen.

Google's use of this information is covered by Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's settings.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
